Thank you for choosing Tilley Education LLC ("we," "us," "our"). Our Refund Policy governs your eligibility for refunds when you purchase any of Tilley Education LLC's website, services, and products ("Services").
Full Refunds
The following situations guarantee students a full refund. Please contact us at https://www.tilleyeducation.com/help if you need additional help with a refund for any of these reasons:
Students are eligible for a full refund if they cancel their enrollment in any class within 24 hours of purchase.
Students are eligible for a full refund if they cancel their ongoing class subscription within 24 hours of automatic renewal. This policy is in effect until the starting time of the class; thereafter, students are no longer eligible for a refund.
For 1:1 lessons, Coffee Chat, students can obtain a full refund up to 48 hours prior to each scheduled class. For the first class purchase, a full refund is available if requested within 24 hours of purchasing the class. For student illness and family emergencies, please refer to the sections entitled “Student Illness” and “Family Emergencies.”
Students are eligible for a full refund if they cancel their group membership (Link Lounge & Gaming) within 24 hours of the initial purchase. Additionally, a refund for the current monthly term is available if requested within 24 hours of the subscription renewal on the first day of the month.
Students receive a full refund if the teacher cancels in advance of the class’s first meeting time.
In the event that a teacher misses a one-time class meeting, students may request a full refund, or wait for the teacher to reschedule the class.
In the event that a teacher changes the date or time of a class meeting before the class’s start date, parents may request a full refund.
Student Illness
If a student becomes sick, our refund policy grants a one-time full refund per month for immediate cancellation on the initial day of illness. Should the student expect to require additional time off within the following 7 business days, it's recommended to cancel the classes at least 24 hours prior to their start time to be eligible for a full refund.
Family Emergencies
In the case of a family emergency, such as a death in the family, our refund policy allows for a one-time full refund per month for immediate cancellation on the initial day of the emergency. Should the student expect to require additional time off within the following 7 business days, it's recommended to cancel the classes at least 24 hours prior to their start time to be eligible for a full refund.
Prorated Refunds
The following situations guarantee students a prorated refund based on the number of live meetings in your class’s section. These policies apply outside of class-specific refund policies and should go through our Support Team at websitename:
Should any part of a class be rescheduled and you're unable to attend the rearranged meetings, a prorated refund can be requested based on the number of rescheduled sessions.
If the teacher fails to conduct the promised number of lessons, you're eligible for a prorated refund upon request.
In the event an ongoing class is canceled by the teacher, a prorated refund will be granted based on the percentage of canceled sessions to the total number of sessions you originally paid for.
Additional Policies
If the student misses a lesson/group meeting, you are not entitled to a refund. If you miss 3 consecutive class meetings without communicating with the teacher, you forfeit the class fee and the teacher may cancel the class or withdraw the student.
If the student has not joined the class/group within 10 minutes after it has started, the teacher has the option to cancel the class/meeting. In such instances, the class/meeting is categorized as a missed session and you will not be eligible for a refund.
Refunds are not guaranteed in the event that the student misses a past or future class meeting due to a schedule conflict.
If the student’s meeting time changes because of daylight saving time starting or ending for several world regions, you are not entitled to a refund if they’re unable to attend. Please review your teacher’s schedule ahead of time to ensure you know when classes are meeting.
If it is determined during this initial evaluation in the trial lesson that the student’s English proficiency does not meet the B2-C2 requirement, we reserve the right to not continue with their enrollment in our Services. Should this occur, the student will be notified via email, and no refund will be issued.
Note that in the rare case a student requests an excessive number of refunds, they may be disqualified from receiving future refunds.
